I am a career-minded spinster so I haven't much great advice to offer re. details, but I can definitely say that you will be firmly held in my thoughts and prayers this week. I've been strongly wishing I didn't live across the country because I would happily offer to come clean your house for you.
My family had a very special child too and I can testify without reserve that God was utterly faithful to the very end, some fifty-odd years later. We wouldn't trade. Not for all the tea in China, and I feel so grateful that God has given this little girl a wise and gracious mommy. I am holding all of you very close to my heart, in loving memory of our Mary.

This is very exciting news! I'm SO happy for you and B to be able to add Lamp to your family (I'm assuming you're at the hospital for an induction?!). I'll be praying that everything goes very well for all of you 🙂
The worst is when the nurses change shifts at 2:00 in the morning and they feel it nessesary to flick on the lights and monitor you then and there. Bed rest is no joke. I got into the series "I shouldn't be alive." I learned how to knit and I snuck out of my room to walk the halls..I got in trouble for that one. Lots of visits help. Hang in there!

I am so with you on #2. Laying around in a hospital bed *sounds* so much nicer than it actually is. And as far as the boredom… I kinda like hearing that you're bored. We don't want too much excitement in a hospital! Email me your number!
I never sleep well in the hospital — too many people checking on you all the time (which is good but not for sleeping). Get Netflix (or at least the free 2 week trial while you're in the hospital). They have a lot of streaming movies/tv shows. A comedy we really like that is streaming on Netflix is the IT Crowd (it's a British comedy but hilarious). I'll be thinking of you!

Autumn–Of course you broke out of your pen and roamed the halls….doesn't surprise me one bit. 🙂 I'm not on super strick bed rest, so that's a little better, but still there's only so much you can do in a hospital right? Especially when you thought you were leaving the house for 2 hours and haven't been home since!

If I were your nurse, you'd be pampered for sure! I always found it really disheartening to work with hospital staff who were rude about patients. They have stressful jobs sometimes, but they need to remember that their patients are even MORE stressed than they are and treat them all with respect and concern! I hope your nurses are doing a good job, clinically and caringly.
Oh my goodness, we just rolled in last night and I thought I'd check in to see how you were doing. It's crazy how things can change overnight. Just a few days ago we were hanging out at the zoo 🙂 I have you and Lamp in my prayers.
