Hospitals

Other than my overnight stay when I had Beanie, I’ve never really stayed in a hospital.  Here’s what I’ve learned so far.
1. I don’t know why, but it’s a little shocking to me that some hospital workers are not that nice.  There is part of me that expects if you’re working in a hospital that means you’re working with people in distress or need of some sort and that they would be nice to you.  I know it’s a job and you get used to seeing sick people or pregnant women or what-have-you…I’m not asking for people to use kid-gloves but you don’t have to be a jerk.  Admittedly no one’s been a huge jerk, but I’ve had some odd encounters.
2.  I used to think the idea of being on bed-rest and being in a hospital for a few days sounded luxurious.  Just a couple of days off from mom duties, lounging in bed and getting your meals brought to you.  Well it’s not.  It’s boring, not that relaxing and you actually get sore from laying around all day.  And bored.  Luckily the hubs and Beanie have been here with me a lot, but there’s only so much you can do in a hospital room.
3.  The food.  Surprisingly, not that bad.  I know, weird.
4.  Boredom.  I’m bored.  Hey!  What if I posted my hospital number number?  Would you call me?
I guess that’s my hospital report.  So you can probably tell this post is the result of a woman with nothing to say and a little too much time on her hands.  Sorry.
I just found Mommy Dearest on Hulu…that should be fun, if not a little inappropriate for watching right before having a new baby, no?
