So I started another sugar-fast in anticipation of our upcoming vacay’s. Yes it’s for completely vain and self-centered reasons like I want to look super hot for my sweetie while we’re playing hooky from real life in the South Pacific. (Did I mention we’re going to the South Pacific? Oh I did? Well do you...
Darn, I thought I had a delicious mango-pineapple sorbet fake treat, but it turns out it has sugar. In my memory I made it with pure pineapple mango goodness. How disappointing. 😛 These look great though!
Yum! I can't wait to try these! Both recipes look wonderful.
My favorite fake treat is a plain, simple frozen banana blended with milk, cinnamon and vanilla. It tastes like a milkshake… I can consume a frightening number of bananas in one day because of this. It's so good I crave it over other treats, and it's super easy and also filling.
Also, this isn't a treat but it's a darn good snack… Toast topped with a smashed ripe avocado, with fresh lemon juice and pepper on top. I'm addicted.
Oohh, I'm definitely going to try both! I'm two months post baby and definitely need to stop stuffing goldfish crackers into my mouth (refined flour much?!) -oh, and yeah, m&m's too… *ahem. Yeah… so anyway, that popsicle recipe sounds awesome. Thanks! Have fun on vacation…where are you going again? 😉
I love the fact that you call it the 'South Pacific'…. we don't actually call it that down here…. like 'I'm from the SOuth Pacific'..but it certainly sounds very romantic!!! And musical-esque. Perhaps I'll start calling it that….
Oh thank HEAVENS… I think I saw on instagram you were starting your sugar free thang and I thought, YES, I shall copy Miggy even MORE and do this too. So I started. Every time I do this I truly feel like I'm in rehab. I just sit around and think about brownies and cookies…. for no reason at all except I'm an addict. I'll be trying your treat free treats this week! Except… that last one might be dangerous for me… I mean.. does it really have chocolate in it??
C–I know, it's a little over the top but if I say the Cook Islands people are like "where?" But if I say The SOUTH PACIFIC people are like…oooooohhh…and then where? Where do you live?
Erin–yes it has cocoa powder. The sweetness comes from the honey and coconut oil. They're really good. I still need watch how many I eat though…shoot, they still have calories.
Erin #1–That avocado on toast sounds so good! Honestly, the trick to going treat-free is eating good food for all your regular meals.
Ohhh I need to try those popsicles. They sound and look good!
