Lately I have been LOVING the on-line scrap-booking like you mentioned! I made a couple with Shutterfly and I love them! One documents our move to NY and the other is our vacation to the Cayman's…I love it so much this is my new and only way I will be scrap-booking!
here is my latest project….i got a imac for christmas and i have a decade of photos in my iphoto…You can build a book thru iphoto…so that is what I'm doing as secret birthday gifts for all my sister-in-laws! I'm like you too on this. I have done two baby books in scrapbook form, but kept it simple. My youngest so far has a snapfish book (not the best quality)that I did for free over an Oprah promo. I think I'll do a simple scrapbook for him though. I am in the process of getting photos together for a Blurb book. I'm glad to hear you like yours. I've never done it before. I agree, though, you have to get all these momentos organized somehow. My kids love looking through them, so do I.ReplyCancel
Kado–Yes we have a mac too and iphoto is awesome. I think blurb ended up being a little cheaper…I know my husband had to download some software to make the book. But it was a good program and allowed for lots of editing.

I'm SO not a scrapbooker, but I have been able to use shutterfly (a lot like blurb) for my photo books, and I really like how easy it is to do. I usually try and add photos as I take them to my book and then when shutterfly sends me an email for 50% off a photo book I order it up! It makes it worth paying the shipping etc.

PS I had a miscariage with my first and I've had cramping and bleeding with both pregnancies that produced babies. The difference was always the feeling. I just knew I would be okay and that e&a would be coming with my 2nd & 3rd pregnancies. That's something I could never explain to my midwife "I know I'm gonna have this baby, even of you say there's a good chance I'll lose it." Oh, congratulations!! I have baby dreams, too. After each of my children, I've sworn off pregnancy for good. This is my last one! I'll declare. But within days or weeks of giving birth, I've always had a dream about the next child. They are always remarkably accurate. I think it's God's way of encouraging me to take it a step at a time.

Oh, my goodness. CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so dang happy for you guys. I remember still having a month or so to go with Chloe and the doctor telling me that something was "potentially" wrong, but not to worry. I wasn't getting any bigger towards the end (I was actually getting smaller) and they thought that the placenta had detached. They scheduled an emergency ultrasound (5 days later!!) and sent me on my way. I received a blessing that night assuring me that baby girl was just fine. After that, I didn't even think about it. 3 days later my healthy baby girl was born.

While I love encouraging my daughter’s artistic side, I just don’t think it’s practical to save every little drawing she makes. But then there’s the dilemma of what to save and what to throw away? So I decided I’d create a digital file of her work by taking pictures and storing them on the computer....
I have been doing that too! I'm saving them all and at the end of the school year I'm going to turn the art-work into a book!
I was so happy to come up with something too…i feel bad throwing the art away…but my little crafter makes a new project daily!

I've tried this, but on a much more basic level. Basically trying to plan out three to five meals with a lot of the same ingredients so that I can save on money and time. But, I get sick of the same kind of flavors and repetition in my food by the end of the week so I don't do it as much anymore. Miggy…you're the girl who not only pulled off, but wowed us with the pink WAY before it hit the Provo scene (by a decade or so). Whatever you end up doing it will be amazing. I found my first gray on my 22nd birthday. Sweet present. I've been dying since I was about 24. I do it every few months, just my natural color, occasionally with a few highlights but no raccoon stripes or anything crazy. Not to big of a deal.
On the salon vs store topic…I go back and forth. Currently I'm a salon girl, and I do think it is helping (Silky, Sexy Hair Light). But my new favorite, can't live without, salon product is Dry Shampoo. On day 2 or 3 post-wash it keeps me from looking like I'm homeless when I go out. Absolutely love it.

I personally do not plan to dye my hair. I have a few silvers also, but I think they stand out beautifully against my very dark hair. I am 29 tomorrow anyway. Just let them come! I was just talking to my friend about this. Her stylist told here to wait as long as possible to color the grey because it becomes such a big investment. To keep up with the roots, you have to dye every six weeks and it gets pretty spendy. I don't know if I would want to wait too long though. I got my first grey at like 23. Awesome. I have lots of randoms. I color my hair in a salon every so often (because I like to be a teensy bit darker than I naturally am), but sometimes I just deal with it. Options:
1) Dry shampoo, in a color. I like Bumble & Bumble. It's messy, but totally works.
2) Mascara. Just use the little wand. Voila.
i discovered my grays when i was prego with my first baby. not only was i chunky and blemish-filled, i was getting grays. pregnancy does not look good on me. i usually do an all over color about twice a year. it's not out of control gray and i like updating the color just a touch. i usually go two shades darker than my natural color. mostly because i envision myself as some sort of 1940s glamour puss and they all had nice dark shiny hair. and legs up to their neck. so i am 50% there. a girl has to have dreams.ReplyCancel
I deal with the exact same thing. After I had O and I went bald post-partum, up shoots all these new greys as a little "welcome to motherhood and to your 30-s." After being made fun of a million times by my not so subtle brother, my hair stylist friend hooked me up w/ some bottles of professional color. So every 3-4 weeks (b/c my greys stand out too), I take a brush to apply the color and "paint" the greys. I try to avoid the brown hair so as to have as much natural color as possible. Coloring it myself is way, way cheaper than getting it done professionally (maybe $1 per application). Email me if you want specific info b/c we probably have the same color.ReplyCancel

I, in Cincy, do not usually wear a robe. But since coming to Utah, where my mom loves robes, all of my kids now have little tiny robes. Right after dinner Joshy asks if we can be "team robe" now. So we end up all getting our robes on at 6:30 pm. I have learned that once you have a robe on, it is really hard to get dressed again. Your robe sounds great (mine is just an extra I found around the house to humor Joshy). And I will tell Joshy that Beanie's mom is also on team robe. He will love that.
You have no idea how helpful this is. When I had a baby last year all I wanted was a robe to wear in the hospital. A friend looked high and low, and ended up getting me a "shorty" robe. It is pretty funny to come down in the morning with the mid-thigh look.
