Hi friends. I need some new music recommendations. I love music, but have been listening to the same stuff over and over….I’m craving new! So please, send along your favorite songs, albums and bands. And if I can bust a move to it, even better!
Florence + The Machine, Vampire Weekend, Adele, Lenka, Mindy Gledhill, Fun., Ingrid Michaelson and Brooke Fraser are all favorites of mine right now. I don't know what your music style is, but these are all pretty chill and laid back artists. Good luck!ReplyCancel
My mom sent the BBC animated "Peter Rabbit" to my kids for Easter, and I fell in love with Miriam Stockley's "Perfect Day" (used as the theme song for the show). I don't know who she is, but I am checking her out! (someday.sometime.when I don't have 8 million other things to do…)ReplyCancel
I think you'd dig Class Actress, Geographer, Black Keys, The Kills, Pollyn, David E. Sugar, Matthew Dear, Psychic Twin, Canyons, the new Racphael Saadiq album, Blood Orange, Toro Y Moi, Washed Out, Team vs. Star Slinger, Little Dragon and Phantogram. To name a few…ReplyCancel
Young Blood by Naked and Famous, loving lots from Of Monsters and Men, Radical Face album called Family Tree: the Roots, You the Rain by Omar Velasco. Those are a few.ReplyCancel
Um, you are totally in luck. For the first few weeks of April, I'm slowly revealing my "turning 30" playlist. 🙂 We are currently on track #11 of 20. Hop on over. (Ok, I know I just "plugged" my own blog, and now I feel awkward….but I really AM writing about new music so I guess the comment's fitting…?) :/
Without knowing your style this is pretty difficult. That said, a few days ago I found a band called Local Natives that I can't stop listening to.
I found them on Spotify. I recommend getting a free account and exploring there. These free providers make it easy to search for new tunes without spending a lot of money.ReplyCancel
new old music- i'm LOVING phil collin's album-"hits" it's incredible. and all old stuff that doesn't age.
and i really like the civil wars. my husband loves the black keys. and as far as country since you live in texas now- sugarland(her voice will blow you away, especially the most recent album) and jason aldean.ReplyCancel
Matt Nathanson. Especially "Run" featuring Jennifer Nettles. So so good. Also I was wondering if in 20 years my twin boys (almost 2 now) could go out with Ms. Lamp. I pretty much think she's amazing and adorable to boot. They already have a lot in common…torturing their older sibling…daddy a dentist…almost edible some days with their cuteness… 🙂ReplyCancel
