Knock, knock

We’ve entered the knock, knock phase of our 4 (almost 5!) year olds life.  PSP has picked up a couple of decent to good knock-knock jokes from the preschool playground.  Unfortunately, like most young children trying to learn the art of humor, she has also made up a handful of completely non-sensical, terrible knock, knock jokes.  You know the ones I’m talking about.

Who’s there?

Cucumber.

Cucumber who? 

Hey!  I ‘m a cucumber!

Or something of the like.  I try my best to muster up a good laugh the first 100 times, but eventually I have to call for a ban of knock, knock jokes.

I expected this phase for Princess Sparkle.  I did not expect her younger sister to jump on the bandwagon so soon.  But she has.  People, Lamp has made up her very own knock, knock joke.  It makes no sense, but it’s the only one she tells….over and over and over.  While her timing is usually impeccable, we were only able to get a so-so version on camera.  Isn’t that always the way?  So for your viewing pleasure I present Lamp and her very first knock, knock joke.

I’ve been working on some more in-depth posts, but as it turns out writing takes time.  Something I seem to be short of lately.  But I’ll get there.
