We’re coming home today! Yay! So technically, as you’re reading this I’m probably not even home yet, but with the magic of the internet I can post in the future and it’s like your reading it hot off the press…which again, the future, no presses…crazy. But now that we’re (almost) home I’m ready for full on Christmas mode. We’re talking It’s a Wonderful Life watchin’, cookie bakin’, fake snow makin’, Christmas story readin’, Santa Clause playin’ Christmas! I don’t even care if Texas tries to throw me off with some 80 degree weather…my head is in the game. The past couple of days in my downtime I’ve been reading, researching, planning and plotting everything from gifts and stocking suffers to food and decor. I’ll try to post some of my favorite finds this week. Any must-have items I should know about?
P.S. I don’t know if you remember but a couple months ago I printed off some of our bat cave pictures for Halloween decor and now I really like the idea of using photographs as part of my holiday decorating. I would love to purchase a print like the one above to help facilitate the White Christmas feeling I’m so used to. Purchase photo here.
You need to try some Texas Christmas traditions too! Go see the lights on the Riverwalk and eat some Christmas tamales. Decorate with some extra poinsettias (very Mexican), even Mistletoe is Texan (but don't get real, it's poisonous!). And, DEFINITELY get the BlueBell Peppermint Ice Cream!

Great idea. I'm liking the peppermint ice cream suggestion…and oddly enough enchilidas on Christmas eve is a long standing tradition from my side of the family.
