First, happy Friday.
Second, so we’re supposed to be getting our new minivan today and I’m really excited. Magda, our Saab (named after the Eastern European woman we bought her from naturally) died and while we don’t need a minivan right away or anything (read: not pregnant) it just seemed like the next logical step. Like most people from my generation the idea of a minivan didn’t excite me at all….until I drove one. And pressed the little button that opens the doors automatically. And then, again like most people of my generation, I threw my pride out the door and realized this ain’t yo mamma’s minivan and now I fully embrace being a minivan family.
Third, I’ve got some new items in the shop. Yay.
And last…I’m supposed to be working out right now while Lamp is napping and Sparkle Pants is at school, but this picture above from our day trip this past weekend is making me reconsider. Mmmm, ice cream.
Congrats on the new minivan (sorry the other car died, though. Bummer). I just worked out and now it's time for a brownie. Best of both worlds!
Congratulations on the van! They are the best. Automatic doors changed my life.
so funny! i can completely relate as we literally just got a minivan. only i had to do *three* posts to get it out of my system!
the new pillows are fantastic!
Good for you all. I am nearly positive you saw this already, but if not:

Cracks.me.up. :> Enjoy your new ride!
I had ice cream for lunch! Oh, and Nacho Cheese Doritos. I know. I know. *bows head in shame*
Yea all around! So exciting.
This picture is one of my favs… look at you two!!!
Oh girl, we just got our minivan and it is AWESOME!!! I, too, railed against it, then one day – I was like, you know, the sliding doors are genius. The space is amazing, what am I doing in this SUV?!?!?
I love the way you write and share your stories. Always entertaining! I've had a minivan for 11 years and even though my kids are older, I just can't get rid of it. Whenever their friends get in, they always comment about how much more room there is my van. It's too perfect in every way. I did try and make it "cool" by getting a personalized liscence plate.
the girls call the doors on our sienna "robot doors" & usually use a robot voice while saying it. I still laugh every time. LOVE our minivan
I made the same choice with two kids, but now I'm selling mine. Not that they're bad. They're really great, but Chicago does and always will have the highest gas prices in the nation. So ironically, I will be selling it around the time I have number three. Vans are really a mom's luxury vehicle.
