LAMP SCOOTED.
Just now…like a half hour ago…On her bummy. She moved. All by herself.
It was ever so small…just a tiny little scoot, but after months and months waiting, hoping, encouraging, cajoling, watching, demonstrating, cheering and bribing she finally scooted and no matter how tiny a scoot it is big, BIG exciting news to us. It was probably only an inch or two and it was mostly in a circular manner, but I couldn’t believe my eyes. We were just sitting there and in fact I was putting building blocks just inches out of her reach to try and encourage a little movement when suddenly she leans towards sisters rumpled up shorts on the floor and I watch her small foot sort of maneuver and push on the ground while her larger leg stabilizes and holds steady as she worked her way over to the shorts and just picked them right up.
It was awesome.
Seriously.
