OK time to wrap this up. I started my list with what I’m going to miss most about Cincy, the top 2 were first, the people and second, our home. Without futher ado, here are numbers 3, 4 and 5.
#3. Children’s Hospital. For better or for worse the hospital has been a second home for our family. Not only is it where B works, Lamp has been a regular around that hospital since she was born. Limb clinic, orthopedic appoints, GI, radiology, g-tubes, hospital stays, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and more. Of course I would prefer not to spend so much time at a hospital, but since that wasn’t an option I can’t tell you how great Cincinnati Children’s has been for our family. It’s nice to have everything in one place, especially when that place is one of the nation’s best hospitals. That probably won’t happen in San Antonio. And it was great to have our dad/husband/partner in crime so available for so many, many appointments. And trust me, when you have a baby who is a rather complicated medical enigma it’s nice to have two sets of eyes and ears at each appointment. Especially one set with a medical background. So three cheers for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital!
#4. The City itself–Northside, the Farm, the Museum, the Zoo…I’ve blogged about them before so I won’t do it again but I’m going to miss our regular spots and kid friendly gems in this city. Read up on these Cincy sites here, here and here.
#5. Graeters ice cream. Obviously. Fortunately they ship this stuff.
So there it is. My Cincinnati top 5.
I don’t have a better ending than this…um…so you can stop reading now.
Or maybe I should stop writing?
Awk.ward.
Eee Gads! As a fellow Cincinnatian (?) I am terribly sad you're moving, but excited to see what the future holds for you guys! Graeter's was a good pick! I don't eat it nearly as often as I'd like, but I may run out this week and get a scoop! When I do, I'll think/say a prayer for you guys! 🙂
You are so funny, Miggy! : D What a pretty picture of Cincinnati, and an even prettier one of that black raspberry chip Graeter's ice cream! I'm sure it will be hard to leave Cincinnati. It's always hard to leave a place you love. I know you will develop a new favorites list once you have been in San Antonio a while. I really hope you will find lots to love there.
I was so excited to see what #5 was going to be, and SO happy to see it was Graeter's. No question that it would be up there with friends, home and good medical care.
PS can I steal your awkward ending, because that's how I feel like ending every post I've ever done.
