Hip, Hip, Hooray! I have stuff in the shop again.
I spent the better part of Saturday sewing up a storm and I still didn’t get half of it done. It was crazy. Also, you might notice that there is one fabric I’ve been obsessing over and I’ve been using it on everything. Everything. I think my new favorite items are the little boy toddler totes. Don’t get me wrong, they could also be for little girls but I had the boys in mind since I’ve made plenty of girly stuff and I really liked how they turned out. Anyway have a look and I hope you enjoy!
Also, I just have to say, I read this post a while ago from Susan of Freshly Picked entitled Why You Should Raise Your Prices. Oh boy, did it resonate with me. There is so much more to pricing handmade goods than just cost of supplies + time spent making the item. As she said in her post I was beginning to feel burned out and like I didn’t want to keep creating while just barely eeking out a profit. Anyway, I just wanted to point this out in case you noticed that my prices are higher than they’ve traditionally been in the past. I also understand that just because one agrees, it doesn’t mean that one can afford to pay higher prices. But I feel good about the decision and I believe my prices definitely reflect the time, quality and originality of handmade goods.
Dear Miggy,
The stripes are fabulous! Love them… but the little sweetie modeling that cute apron is, well… over the top. Love that Princess Sparkle Pants!!!
Hugs & kisses to all,
G.G.
Agree with Anon above. Your child is oh so cute 😉
Oh, I love the little girl frilly half aprons! Be sure to tell Miss Princess SP that we all think she is a fabulous model.
I love your blog. I think your girls are the cutest! Just bought the striped messenger bag for my 4yr old son and I cannot wait to get it. He has been in desperate need of something to carry all his stuff around in and I know this will be perfect!
I am amazed you have such a light colored couch with kids. My boys made mine look like grunge so fast! Love reading your blog and hearing about Lamp and Princess Sparkle Pants.
