See, even Lamp needs a break
I’m gonna take a break from blogging for the rest of the week. But I’d like to open up the blog once again to questions any of you might have about me, our family or specifically Lamp. I did that once before and I really liked it…so if you have a question you’d like me to answer ask away. And you can always ask anonymously if you’re afraid of offending (but you probably won’t).
If not….well then I’ll just see you next week.
Hello! I've never commented on your blog before but have been following it for a few months. I remember your husband from his entertainment days at the BYU volleyball games! 🙂
My question is non-Lamp related, but I am wondering how you met your husband. I know you've mentioned an age difference before and I'm wondering how that has worked out for you, etc.
Thanks!
I hope you enjoy the blog break. I feel like I'm due for some time away as well 🙂
Good for you.
I have a few questions…feel free to answer or none of them.
1. With all the extra care Lamp will require, have you wondered if you'll be too stretched for more children?
2. Did the doctor's ever figure out if her condition was just random or if there is a genetic cause?
Lovely picture of the ladies. Lou has the same shirt SP is wearing. Love the yellow.
I don't really have a question… but I did want to say that I admire the way that you're honest about Lamp and her condition. I'm grateful too – not for me, but for any other families who find out that they are going to have babies with similar conditions.. and have somewhere to find things out, or to find someone to talk to that is going through the same stuff.
One of the wonders of the internet is the way that we can now connect with people in a way we never could before.
So thank you for being to honest and open. 🙂
I don't think you really know how many people you have influenced and enlightened…about life, about challenges, about happiness. I did a post once on my blog about you and I know several from just my little world who are still following you.
You are so honest, and sweet.
The picture is soooo adorable. Your girls are absolutely beauiful. I've been reading your blog now gor quite some time, sinced you posted a blog with Reagan on children with disabilities. I love your blog.
I would like to ask when you think you will b moving to Austin? (My in-laws retired to Austin,as my SIL teaches at UT Law School.)
How does SP respond to her friends that ask abou Lamp or stare at Lamp?
When and where dod you develop your fashion flare and begin sewing your own cloths? So you design your own patterns as well?
Thank you
Hi there. I am Brittany's cousin's wife and started blog stalking you awhile back. I thought I would see if you are still getting shredded? You might laugh, but I went out and bought the video awhile ago and I really enjoy doing it. I have seen a difference, particularly in my upper body strength.
Thanks for the tip.
Hi! I live in Mesa, AZ. I went to college in San Antonio and I think you will grow to love it. Every place I have lived (including Yuma, AZ), I have fallen in love with. Get an annual pass to Sea World. It will pay for itself over and over again. It is SO much better than Sea World San Diego. And great for little ones.
I read about a high school junior from my area that was born without a left arm. He said he tried a prosthetic arm when he was in second grade and he hated it. They talked about how he plays first base on the JV team. He also played football and even caught a pass. He said his parents always told him if he could not do something the "normal" way, then figure out a way to do it. He is such an inspiration!
I do want to know about how Lamp's care will be in San Antonio. Have you found a doctor that will be good enough? Her therapies, will they be continued? How are the tube feedings going? Is Lamp sleeping better? Is she growing as expected? She is such a little beauty! So is her big sister. 🙂
Thank you for sharing your world with us!
do you twitter?
