About 15 years ago, when I was in high school I worked at the Gap. This was before they branched out to babyGap and Gap Maternity, Gap Body and all that. One of the first things they started making besides clothing, was perfume. They did a whole line of scents–Heaven, Dream, Grass, Earth and Om. Out of all those Grass was my favorite. I loved the clean fresh smell. However, I don’t remember a lot of people really digging it. I still have a vague memory of someone asking, Who would want to smell like a fresh mowed lawn? (me!me!) Anyway, after a long hiatius it looks like they’ve brought them back–including Grass. And it looks like Grass is still the darkhorse of the fragance collection as I noticed last night it’s the only one on sale. For some reason I never actually purchased Grass perfume the first time around (I think I had a small bottle of body spray?). Life doesn’t often give second chances, and even if it’s only perfume I’m not going to make the same mistake twice.

GRASS! Yes! I too loved grass and fpr years I have been lamenting that it was now longer for sale. I am so happy they sell it again.
My scent was Dream. And yes, Grass was the dark horse for sure.
that is so weird, i was just ironing a shirt of my husband's from the gap and i thought, "remember grass perfume? mmmm." so, good weird timing. maybe merry christmas to me.
yay! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a strong memory associated with those perfumes…and I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes grass.
I loved the Grass one. It smelled so comforting. I think I didn't buy the perfume either because I thought it was way out of my high school price range.
I loved om! Do you remember when they came out with a bunch of single note scents? My favorite scent in all the world was the sandalwood. I would love it if they would resurrect that one!
i worked gap in high school too. and i definitely splurged and bought grass back then in fact, i still have it. is that bad?

Oh dear Miggy-Marvelous. You just made my day. I said "NO WAY!" out loud and David said WHAT??? and I told him the news. You see, I can't wear perfume because I get headaches. I can wear Dream. I wore it for years. And then it was discontinued. and I worked at the Gap too and I bought up a few of the small ones to have. And then I ran out. and not too long ago I looked online to try and find some and it was like super duper expensive on ebay. I wondered if they were going to do this.
Smart move, Gap. Are they trying be all disney or something?
and Grass totally smelled just like grass. I liked it too, I just LOVEd Dream. A little citrusy.
Oh, I can't wait.
But I wonder if it will make me feel like I am in high school going to a stake dance again or something. Are they selling the smaller little aluminum bottles too? I need to check it out.
And to the ones who thought it was a splurge — did you not know that they had the small little ones for $4.50? and they lasted forever.
