Repurposed

Perhaps some of you remember this little number of ours from NYC.  It was the perfect piece of furniture for a small NYC apartment.  Sturdy and lots of storage.  But interestingly enough, it was too big for our new living room.  I thought about selling it.  However, my mother {an interior designer} wisely suggested that since we like it we should take it with us… you never know where you’ll find a place for it, she said.

I’m glad I listened… with a fresh coat of white paint it has become an all in one dresser/toy storage/bookshelf for Bean’s new room.  Painting this beast {again} was no easy feat, but so worth it in the end.  I love the brightness it adds and for some reason just being white make it seem like it was made for a child’s room.

It’s the perfect size and I love that there is still plenty shelf space available–room to grow if you will.
