One thing I think I’m good at is being happy for my friends’ successes. Right now I’ve got some friends out there doing some cool things and I thought it would be fun to highlight them and their accomplishments here. There is definitely a range of closeness with each of these friends, but yes I know each of them in real life! It’s very exciting to see the great things they’re doing.
I’d like to introduce you to my old pal Brooks with Proof eyewear. Brooks was actually my home teacher at BYU years ago–crazy! He’s a really good guy, with good taste and a good company. Proof makes a variety of eyewear using eco-friendly, sustainable materials–most of the frames are made from wood. They even recyce old skateboard decks. Additionally a portion of each sale goes to a charity in India that provides sight-giving surgeries to those in need. I knew Brooks had an eyewear company, and that they were made of wood and boasted clients like Snoop Dogg, but I didn’t know much more than that. Luckily Proof was recently featured on an episode of Shark Tank and I learned a whole lot more. Exciting! Check out the video below. Then go to Proof to check out the products for yourself.
How fun! I might have to check them out when I'm in the market for a new pair of glasses. Speaking of friends doing cool stuff. I noticed we have a couple mutual friends on facebook….Cary Judd and Emily Probst (well, Lesher now). Small mormon world we live in, ha!
