One thing I think I’m good at is being happy for my friends’ successes. Right now I’ve got some friends out there doing some cool things and I thought it would be fun to highlight them and their accomplishments here. There is definitely a range of closeness with each of these friends, but yes I know each of them in real life! It’s very exciting to see the great things they’re doing.
One of my very best friends Caroline, (and recent travel companion to Italy) is a partner in a new cosmetics company called Inside and Out. Everything about this company should excite you and here’s why: The name of the company is based on the fact that women want to look good on the outside, but also feel good about who they are and the decisions they make on the inside. It’s about beauty Inside and Out. So this is a cosmetics company that boasts all-natural, 100% USDA certified organic lipsticks and lip glosses that also come in eco-friendly packaging. (They have plans to expand their line soon!) Not only that, but a portion of the proceeds of each sale go to their partner charity Women of the World. So you can see how making a beauty product purchase can be about more than just making yourself pretty. I’ve known Caroline a long time and she has always been passionate about the plight of women around the world. It’s wonderful, and very fitting, to see her play such a direct role in a company that is so committed to helping women. I also love the fact that each product is named after an inspiring woman in history.
