It’s just one of those crazy, busy weeks…so I probably won’t be posting. I’ll see you next week.
But oh, I just had an idea….if there any questions you’ve been dying to ask me–either about Lamp or our family or how I manage to stay so awesomely cool–go ahead and ask it in the comments section. I’m taking a cue (read: totally ripping off) from my friend Reagan. She got some good questions and it made for some interesting posts, so if you have any crazy questions you’ve been wanting to ask post it in the comments and I’ll answer them next week. And if you’re afraid I might get offended go ahead and make in anonymous. And if no one asks any questions, well then I might just make them up and post them myself. So either way…

I'll go first. How has Beanie responded to having a sister with special needs? How did you explain to her before the birth what Lamp would be like?
HI! Its been so long. Hope its okay if I just jump on here. I've been a little MIA lately. I am loving all of your posts. It is so good for me to hear real thoughts and feelings from real people. You are one to aspire to be like. I love lamp in that awesome bed. Good work, Beanie. You'll have to make a "sisters wall" of all these darling pictures of the two of them.
Yay! This is a great idea. I can't wait to see what you have to say, oh lady who has such a gift with words.. I have more to post myself! you just reminded me to get on that.
Anyway, my question is…
I'm interested to hear why you think lamp is right for your family. Why are you her mom? Why can you give her that no one else can (don't be shy to brag!)? What are you learning from her?

Since you said it's okay, I would like to know, if looking back over your life, you feel you were being prepared in some way for the challenges of your sweet little Lamp?
How tall are you?
How much can you bench?
How much do you weigh?
JUST KIDDING. Here is my real question: If you could create the most wonderful, reasonable, happiest outcome for Lamp's future, what would it look like? (Without taking away the way her body is now).
Also, do you know how awesome you are? That is another real question.
Here's my question, but it has nothing to do with children. And you may not want to answer it on your blog, but I'll ask anyway. Are you getting so frekkin excited to be done with school/training? I feel like I can kind of see the light at the end of the tunnel and we are a full year behind you. Are you counting down the days, or does it not really matter to you? Have you guys talked about where you are going to go? What do you have planned for the future and have locations changed at all since Lamp has been born, considering future medical needs? It would be fun to talk to you. Too bad you guys live so far away instead of one building away now. I will always feel like we were your NYC shadow. 🙂 Anyway, lots of questions.

Here is a real question I have been wondering about Lamp — how are her legs? I know you were unsure about them in the womb, just wondering if they are moving well for her.
and I love that photo too…. I LOVE that little bed. I passed one up for $10 once at a cute shop downtown, but I didn't have any girls and now I wish I would have got it. darn.
How has development been coming along outside the physical limitations?

How do you keep from being angry at God for not giving Lamp a normal little body? Or maybe I should ask, do you ever feel angry at God? I know I do. And that video of Gabe… tore me up! I don't understand why God does this to people and it flat out makes me mad.
p.s. I am LDS so I understand the whole "we came to earth to be tested" response, but seriously… sometimes I just don't get it.
