obligatory cousins-in-the-bathtub picture
We’ve been having a great time so far on vacay. I’ve seen family and friends, the local sights and I’ve eaten my way through town. Not bad I say. As mentioned earlier I don’t have a special needs spotlight for today, however I thought I’d share a link that’s sure to open your eyes, not to mention your tear ducts. It’s a beautiful and uplifting blog which (much like my own blog) isn’t dedicated entirely to their special needs daughter, but certainly does discuss her and their experience quite a bit. There’s a good chance you’re already familiar with Kelly Hampton—writer and photographer extraordinaire–but if not get the Kleenex out and read the beautiful birth story of her daughter Nella Cordelia here. She’ll break and mend your heart in one fell swoop.
Have a great weekend!
Beautiful Story!! Thank you for sharing Nella's blog with us! You were right, next time you say grab tissue, I will listen!!!
I came across Kelly's blog a few months ago and fell in love with little Nella. I have an aunt and an uncle (siblings) with down syndrome, so little Nella just melts my heart and her birth story pulls at your heart. Thank you for posting about her blog, love it and all of your special needs spot lights!
Kelly's blog is one of my favorites and little Nella just holds your heart from the moment you start reading!
