Hi.
The funny thing about the picture above is that it was taken many, many weeks ago when I was still not even 30 weeks prego. Technically, I haven’t gained a lot of weight, but I’m big. I feel big. The baby is measuring big. Definitely my biggest and most uncomfortable pregnancy yet. Please don’t think I’m not grateful–I am–but between compression hose for my awesome varicose veins, an extra large belly, a still very physically needy 3 year old and possible gestational diabetes (what?) it’s been a challenge. I also find myself vacillating between getting as much done as I can while I can in the form of organizing and purging or enjoying a little extra time to myself in the form of TV watching and chillaxing to the maxing. It’s a tough call. I’m also trying to get as much Christmas shopping done just in case this babe decides to make an early entrance. Here’s my free advice of the day: Don’t bring your kids over to the computer to look at Christmas presents as they will tell you they want that, that, that and that and yes pleaseplease that! and now you’re left to figure out which ‘that’ is actually the one their little hearts will treasure most and which one is most likely to end up forgotten by 2 PM Christmas Day. So yeah, maybe avoid giving them ideas that will likely only end in shattered dreams.
Anyway, signing off early this week. I have some good stuff in the queue, I just can’t get to it yet… so hopefully the beginning of next week? Yes the beginning of Thanksgiving week sounds like much better timing. Oi.
While I’m here I do have one question…I’m going to need a new double stroller. The one we have is the kind where the older child can hop on and hop off by themselves (A joovy I think?) which doesn’t work for Lamp. I need double that has two seats that children can be buckled into, but still something I can attach a car seat to on one side. Preferably something lightweight as well. Any recommendations? I’m all ears!
You look great!!! I say watch some TV. Rest up!
Best wishes,

City mini gt double. $500 range… Could find it on sale on Albee baby website. Sells conversion kit for carseats….can open close with one hand. Have done tons of research and used other doubles…. This is the best!
You look great! Mountain Buggy Duet is really good and compact – http://mountainbuggy.com/us/Products/buggies/duet#.Uox18OLM0ik
You look wonderful!! And I am so totally there with you… at 34 weeks I am in a vicious cycle of sit and enjoy my last moments with my son as an only child… or crazy nesting preparing for this next precious bundle! And of course Christmas… I want to bake and decorate and do all that stuff too, which I keep telling myself may not be physically possible soon. So I'm trying to find a nice balance! Can't wait to see the responses about the stroller… as I'm in need of my first double stroller too, and would like one that can accommodate a car seat and a child that can sit, not stand.
Sending prayers your way for a safe, beautiful delivery (whenever it shall be), and some relaxing times for you and your family!
love that bump! We are expecting our second baby in the spring, a few months before our first turns 2, so we are in the market for a double stroller too. Right now our favorites are the Britax B-agile double (around $400), or the Contours Options tandem (around $250). The britax is a side by side double, the contours is front and back and can hold most infant carriers too. I think I'm leaning toward the Contours, but haven't got to the store to test drive it yet.

You carry that baby so well! I cannot rave enough about our BOB revolution. So it's a single, but the double can do pretty much what the single can. Pros: It can lock a carseat in, and has buckles both sides. It can double as a jogger ( an excellent jogger) but has a swivel wheel that can maneuver anywhere. I can push the thing with one hand, it is so light and easy to control. It folds up easy. I can take it ANYWHERE, it strolls on a sandy beach and rocky hills with a breeze. Con: it is a side by side which can make it a tight squeeze through doorways and it is not necessarily compact in your car, its pricey but you can resell for more than 50% of value. okay there is my suggestion 🙂
City Mini Double Jogger (though it's not really a jogger and has 2 wheels in front). I LOVE this stroller. It's way lighter than the BOB and can fit through regular doorways.
I love our City Mini Double! We just used it for our 6 and 4 yr old at Disney, so it's been with us for a while now. Lightweight, rolls easily and folds flat (although not sure how the carseat connector works with it.
We had a City Mini with our first, and just added a City Select with extra seat. We love both of them. Their products are great, have good features, but are really easy to use. You can purchase a car seat adapter for the City Select as well.
side by side's suck. That is my only advice. ps, you look amazing!
I honestly did not leave the house that much with my twins, but my side by side was fine. I would put one carseat on one side and use a baby pouch. My favorite combo was baby carrier + regular stroller, as it takes less space while giving me stability while walking as I once fell with my daughter in the baby carrier.
Miggy: You are fabulously amazing! I love your blog! I heart your style. Thank you for all you are doing! You are in my prayers with this upcoming labor and delivery! Mel VDG
FYI about jogging strollers– they pose a serious rollaway hazard, just because they ARE designed to roll freely.

They make safety straps for them, but you usually have to specifically request them at the time of sale, because they aren't always automatically included.
It's safest to have a stroller in which the brake engages automatically when you let go of the handlebar. They make these for daycare centers as commercial equipment. Check the features on the previously recommended models.
I have a Phil and Ted's and it is amazing! The seats are front and back and the back comes off so it can be a single when you need it. The seat for the back can also be used as a bouncer. Both seats have harnesses. We have had ours for almost five years and love it! The seat for the back can also be attached to the front and the main seat can be put down completely flat. Also, the carseat can fit right on top of the stroller as long as the lap bar is on. Good luck! http://philandteds.com/us/Products/Push
It feels good to feature much enlightening and unique articles on the baby stuff and i suggest that stroller are essential for all baby.
