It’s a good thing for dads. When it comes to any sort of physical play and pushing our daughters’ physical abilities that has all been thanks to dad. Point in case, the above photos are from the park this past Saturday. I could hardly believe it. She wanted to do the monkey bars just like big sister and dad found a way. She was hanging on so well and for 20-30 seconds at a time! I posted a pic on instagram with the caption, Look ma! No hands! (follow me on instagram at thislittlemiggy).

It’s project central around here. In addition to doing a makeover on the desk in our bedroom, I’m mapping out a quilt for our new bed (mercy…what am I thinking?) and then there’s the small matter of a birthday party this weekend for a certain almost 6 year old. A unicorn birthday party. As much work as kid parties are, I think it will be a lot of fun… more pictures to come.
I asked the husband to be in charge of the pinata. Just cut it out of cardboard, I said… Make it easy… Nope. He busted out the balloons, newspaper and cornstarch. I rolled my eyes and told him I think he was biting off more than he could chew.
When am I going to learn not to underestimate this man?
It’s a busy week, but aren’t they all? I’ll try to drop in a few times…
She's amazing!
that pinata is so beautiful. i hope we get to see the finished thing before it gets smashed. 🙂
That is one high end fancy pants unicorn.
And well done to your little girl on the play equipment. She is adorable and hard working.
Have a lovely week.
