Shout Outs

Yesterday Design Mom featured posters from a dad that turned some of the funny things he finds himself saying to his kids into artwork.  You know things like, I am not talking to you until you are wearing underwear.  She asked for readers to share their own funny things-I’ve-said-to my-kids moments and there were some hilarious comments.  And this was very appropriate for me since I had just instagramed a funny moment the other day.  Speaking to Lamp at the grocery store I suddenly blurted out, 

I’m going to take your arm off if you hit your sister one more time!

Of course I laughed as soon as that crazy sentence left my mouth.  I instagrammed the picture above I filed that one under the hashtag thebenefitsofhavingkidswithprosthetics.

Speaking of Design Mom I wanted to send a huge thank you to her for linking to my special needs spotlight last week on her regular Friday feature, A Few Things.  I got a lot of exposure for the spotlight that day and more emails from people wanting to spotlight their kids!  Yay!  Years and years later, Design Mom is still one of my favorite blogs and daily must-reads.  She’s the real deal.     

Also a huge thank you to Danny and Mara of A Blog About Love for linking to me on their blog a couple weeks ago.  (I can’t find the post anymore!)  If you’re not reading A Blog About Love, you should.  This is one of those blogs that will uplift and inspire you, and actually help you be a better person.  These two are one inspiring power couple.  Their blog is relatively new (but receiving much deserved buzz) so you can basically start at the beginning and read the whole blog.  Another daily read for me.
