I really need to get to bed earlier. I say that almost every night. But I also mean it almost every night. Anyway, we’re off to a slow start around here and it may just be a slow week. Posting may be sparse.
I hope you noticed the little blog spruce up I did. I’m still going to be adding some links above, but so far so good! I like it. Any feedback you have would be appreciated. Also, just so you know we’re going to be changing the URL soon…I know I know, such a pain. But I hope you’ll support me in the big move. I’ll be sure to give you a heads up.
And lastly, just real quick, I can’t believe we were playing in the sprinklers this past weekend–yes the picture above is from Saturday. I’m still not used to this Texas weather. Despite the warm temperatures we enjoy year round the husband and I are still super excited that we FINALLY pulled the trigger on a trip for just us two this upcoming summer to the South Pacific. This will be the first time we’ve spent a night away together in over 5 years! And we get 5 kid-free nights! In paradise! Yippie! We’re very excited. Having spent a year of college in Hawaii I’ve been longing to go to the South Pacific ever since and we’re headed to The Cook Islands. Double Yippie! Dream come true. If you’ve ever been and have any tips for us we’re all ears!
Anyone else have exciting news?
Congratulations on the vacation–well deserved! I like the look of the new blog, especially the page buttons at the top!
Hi, Miggy! I am loving our North Texas weather! It seems like we hardly even had a winter here this year. I hope you have enjoyed your Texas weather, too.
The links at the top of your blog are great! I also noticed your Pinterest and Instagram areas as well.
That is so great that you and hubby get to go on an exotic getaway! Woohoo!
My exciting news is that at the end of this month I get to go on a little art retreat weekend about an hour and a half away. I have read about these in various artsy craftsy blogs, and now there is actually one close enough for me to go to. Sooooo psyched!!!
I may be totally whacked out, but I just must say that when I saw The Artist(movie) several weeks ago, I couldn't help but think that the Peppy Miller character looked like you! In my defense, I have seen you only through pics on your blog, so I may be totally off track here. Tell me though, has anyone else said this to you?
I do! Have good news that is. One of my really good friends is moving to San Antonio! And soon 🙂 You'll have to take care of her for me.
Oh, and more exciting news (for me at least)! is that I have lost about 15 pounds, primarily by eating reduced portions. I hope to lose about 5ish more. OK, I will leave you alone now . . . ; )
Oops. Please excuse the stray exclamation point in the first line of my post above.
One of the many reasons I like your blog is that we recently PCS'd from San Antonio (loved it there) to … Oahu! so if you want to know anything vacation-ish-y I'd love to look it up for you!
Tracie
Yeah! I'm jealous just thinking about it.
Make sure you go to their version of the PCC if you go to Rarotonga. Classic. Let me know where you're going. I'll try to dig up some info.
