I can’t get over these pictures…sweet little angel face.
So I know I briefly mentioned her newfound verbalization the other day, but really Lamp has been talking up a storm. New words every day! It’s crazy. If Princess Sparkle says a word, she imitates it. If we ask her to say a word, she gives it a go. But beyond just imitating she actually seems to know how to use these words properly and has even started saying sentences. At 15 months old I’m quite impressed. Here’s a rundown of words I can remember.
hi
bye
night, night
mom, mommy, mama
dada, daddy
sister, and sister’s name (not an easy name to say)
ball
outside
cheese
hungry
bite
cereal
down
slide
peas
no
too
I want
diaper
chair
baby
really
bear (her pacifier)
puppy
doggy
this
One, Two, Three!
And those are just the words I can remember. Anywho, Saturday night I was making the girls some dinner and PSP says, I want some cheese and Lamp says,
I want cheese too.
What? Her first sentence! And she knows how to properly use too? Definitely going down in the books as her first official sentence. Since then I’ve been noticing a lot more I want sentences. I want chair, I want down, etc. It’s been fun seeing her grow in this way and it also helps me see her as the almost -toddler-minus-the-toddling-part that she is. Since she’s still so small–about the size of your average 9-10 month old–and not walking, sometimes it’s easy to forget that she’s actually a lot more mature than that. She’s growing up on me and for the most part, I’m OK with that.
I haven't been on in a while. Shew has gotten SO big! Awww. What a sweetheart!
Lamp, you are beautiful and amazing! <3
I'm so proud of that gal, and I know that having a big sis like PSP is a big help in her progress.
How fun! And wow, that really is a lot of words for 15 months. She's a genius!! Can she really say sister's name?? Total genius. Girl's got brains and beauty.
Wow, baby R is about the same age and only says Mama and uh-oh. Good job, Lamp!
holy smokes! my 15 mo/o can only say about 4, maybe 5 words.
rock on, little lamp! you smarty pants, you. and that little angel face is to die for.
Very impressive, for real. Eli is 17 months and can only say dada, bubbles and hello.
She is so cute! And she is very smart. What a big vocabulary for a 15 month old! Maybe she is compensating in this way so that she can be understood better than she might have been had she not had her handicaps.
I LOVE this story. How cute. I love the way these little voices sound when they say things. My little niece just a little older is now saying "honey!" like how her parents would to each other. I love it.
