I feel like I’m in the twilight zone today. When I woke up this morning and looked over at the clock it said 7:56. Panic! Oh my goodness, where are the kids, what’s going on? Turned out they were both fine–one in her crib, the other in her room….but somehow I slept through a crying baby and Princess Sparkle just sat by her door waiting for me to wake up. What? That never happens. Lamp is going through that weird transition from 2 naps, to 1 and I feel like all our our sleeping is off. She waking up at all hours of the night and everything just seems a little out of whack. Or maybe a little in whack…for some reason that sounds more appropriate. Anyway, I was going to do a bigger post this morning, but the above picture is going to have to suffice.
We went to the Wildlife Ranch last week while GG and Papa were in town. It’s basically a drive thru zoo–a mini safari experience–and since dogs freak Lamp out I knew this place might really do her in. However, she did pretty good and only cried when the animals got super close. This little guy however, had her in full on freak-out mode. Why are crying babies so cute?
Overall it was a fun place…so that’s two fun things in San Antonio in one week?
Seriously, it is the twilight zone.
Crying Lamp is really cute :). I can tell from the pic you mini van is PRETTY! I like the sound of a drive through zoo. No stroller hassle.
Oh my gosh, that picture cracks me up!
Yes, a picture is worth a thousand words! We had a great time at the Wildlife Park in San Antonio. And Terese is correct, a "drive thru zoo" does have it's perks! Since it's still HOT in Texas, staying in an air conditioned van was nice. We could visit, and just sit and enjoy the the animals in what seemed like their natural environments. They would come up to the car and we could feed them, or not. Lamp did pretty well… she cried about the Zebras too, but then I showed her the Zebra pictures in the book, and that little girl responded with "Zeba"! She's a bright one!
We had a great time in Texas!
Love, hugs & Kisses to PSP & Lamp,
G.G.
Oh, poor little Lamp. I 'm so sorry she was scared. That said, I think this picture is soooo funny! That ostrich staring at the camera is priceless.
I'm glad all was well after your unintentional oversleep!
I went to that place more than 20 years ago when I was first dating my husband. I laughed so hard about those freaky animals. Lamp must know how crazy those birds are and boy! does she look cute. I'm glad you are enjoying SA. Where is that bat cave? We took our boys to Carslbad in NM in August and it was a bust because of the fire there. We would love to take them there and we will be in SA in November. I just LOVE your blog!
