How is it I can spend all week with her and barely feel like I have time to color? Or paint? Or glue? Then dad gets home, and after a half an hour they’ve been playing and creating and she comes upstairs with some new fancy pipe cleaner glasses. I try to make the resolve to do something more creative and come up with some cool crafts, but I got nothin’. Lucky for her she’s got a creative dad.
She kinda reminds me of an pseudo-intellectual angsty teenager trying in this picture….that or a young Lisa Loeb.
She reminded me of Lisa Loeb too! Loved your last post too about the big road trip 🙂 Emma
Love the glasses! She looks so grown up in the picture (which is funny, cause the glasses aren't, you know, sophisticated or anything). She's lucky to have a creative and involved dad (you're not the only mom who doesn't craft it up with her kids!).
Oh what an Optical Fashionista! Grandpa W.
(aka "Doc" ) is definitely smiling and approves!
Love the glasses Fancy Pants,

What a great dad! Give him a big hug!

P.S. Some of my crafty ideas that have worked: I set up things in advance, and Graham works on them when I have to do something for Audrey. I made a bunch of house-outlines on big paper (with the walls, roof, floors, stairs), and he has a bag of stickers, crayons, markers, etc, and decorates/populates the houses himself:) I also made a hop-scotch outline with masking-tape on the floor, for a rainy day:) I figure I will pull it up when he gets sick of hopping all over it!
