With all the Lamp stomach hoopla, I sorta forgot that we had a great time over Thanksgiving with a little road trip to Pittsburg. B’s sister and her family just moved there and it’s so nice to have someone to visit who lives within a decent drive. And I sorta need to apologize to Pittsburg. I had the impression that it was an ugly, sad little city. Not sure where I got that impression, but I was wrong. I like Pittsy! I like it so much I just made up the nickname Pittsy for it. So sorry for being prejudice Pittsy. I judged you unfairly and I was wrong. (However, I just discovered via spell check that Pittsburg is actually spelled Pittsburgh. That sorta bugs me.)
B, his prego sister and Sassy pants overlooking the city.
Since B’s sisters house isn’t finished yet, they’ve been staying at a friends. Well those friends were gone for Thanksgiving, which is what allowed us to come stay as well….so it was kinda interesting making dinner at a house that didn’t belong to anyone there…but we managed and it was a lot of fun.
Whenever we go someplace new we always check out Diners, Drive-in’s and Dive’s from the Food Network to find local food that’s good and inexpensive. We ate at a couple different places this time and below is the sandwich place we found. They’re speciality is sandwiches with the french fries and coleslaw actually on the sandwich. It was good.
This little munchkin sat quietly in her car seat the entire meal just being cute. Being cute is her number one job and she excels at it.
And just for fun here’s a picture of the 3 year old when she was a baby wearing the same hat as Lamp. I love that hat. And I love that I have 2 little babes who’ve graced their precious little heads with that cute little hat.
OK that’s all. Now we can officially move into Christmas mode.
Pittsbugh is my hometown and I have to say I'm more than a little partial to it. I'm glad you liked your trip here!
when we go to Lancaster we go to this place that serves curly fries on their salads —SOOOO good. they say it;s a PA thing, must be.
love the nickname.
Lizardloo–well I'm glad I liked Pittsy too…I'd hate to bag on someones hometown.
Likely…interesting. Fries on everything in PA. Good to know.
Yep, fries on everything in PA — AND it's delicious!
