Good Weekend

It turned out to be a good weekend.  Even though Saturday was primarily set aside for cleaning, we ended up getting one of our overdue projects finished and also managed to squeeze in some thrifting.  

Our project was a photo wall in the living room.  We had this one bare corner and due to the arrangement of the room we can’t really place any additional furniture there.  So we decided that we’d fill the space with photos, paintings, etc.  I really like how it turned out.  

This is how the corner has looked for a month or so.  

We took a tip from Martha and made a cut out of everything we wanted to hang and then arranged the paper on the wall first.  This is SUCH a good idea especially when arranging an eclectic mix of pictures and hangings.  In the end it saves a lot of time and headache.

And thrifting netted us these cute little chairs… we while initially I didn’t really think we needed additional kiddy chairs, these were too cute to pass up and truth be told sometimes you do need additional munchkin seating.  

I’m thinking of painting these bad boys….I’ll be sure to post some pics if I do.  

Yeah…it was a good weekend.
