Remember the first studio project I talked about doing? It’s well under way–a new quilt for Beanie’s big girl bed {which she is not in yet, but I’m sure we’ll be undergoing that transition in the upcoming months}. I’m going to make another quilt similar to this and sell one in the shop. So far I really like how it’s turning out. I’ll be sure to post a pic when it’s all finished.
Hooray for the big girl quilt and the big girl bed:) Graham has now graduated to our old bed (we snagged a queen from Al's mom:), so he looks really small in the middle of it at night:)
Love you guys!
I can't wait to see how it turns out. I am taking a quilting class right now, and can't wait to branch away from the structured quilts and get creative.
Suz–
That Graham–he's an overachiever just like his mom and dad. Always a few steps ahead of the game. Queen bed at age 2…I didn't have a queen until marriage. Hey, we need to chat sometime soon–would be fun to catch up.
Cara–Yes I really, really like just cutting and sewing and doing it as I go along. I have a hard time being totally unstructured, but I really want to get super free flowing with the quilts and just start sewing a bunch of scraps together. Too bad you're not still in Denver, I'm headed back next month…would be so fun to see you.
Love the quilt!! I started to make my son a big boy quilt about 4 years ago—-ummmm—-it is still not done.
(Shamefully said)
